About the Program
Everything you need
to teach with confidence
The Sweat Central 26&2 Teacher Training is a comprehensive, immersive program designed to take your personal practice to a whole new level — and equip you with everything you need to lead a class of your own.
Running from July through December 2026, the program blends online learning with in-person Saturday sessions and one-on-one dialogue coaching throughout the summer. You’ll study the full Bikram teaching dialogue, yoga history, anatomy, and ethics — and finish by teaching real live classes.
“Share your passion. Deepen your practice.
Learn everything you need to teach.”
The program is intentionally kept to a small group so that every participant receives personalized attention and feedback from Richard throughout the training.

Your Instructor
Richard Pike
Richard is the owner of Sweat Central and has been teaching Bikram yoga for 15 years. He has trained many of the teachers currently on the Sweat Central roster — and brings the same depth, rigor, and warmth to every student he works with.
His approach to teacher training is rooted in the belief that great teaching starts with a great personal practice — and that anyone who commits fully to this program will emerge ready to inspire others in the hot room.
Program Schedule
How the Program unfolds
The training runs July through December 2026, combining online learning, summer dialogue
coaching sessions, fall in-person Saturdays, and live teaching at the finish.
Individual coaching and feedback sessions on Saturday afternoons — focused entirely on dialogue memorization.
Minimum 10 hours required. Participants who excel at memorization may attend fewer sessions at Richard’s discretion.
In-Person Fall Saturday
Full in-person training days at the Sweat Central studio covering all program subjects.
All sessions held at the Sweat Central studio in Scarsdale. Attendance at all dates is expected.
Online Learning
Online modules covering yoga history, anatomy, ethics, and supplemental material run throughout the full program period — on your own schedule, at your own pace.
Live Teching
At the conclusion of the program, every participant will teach real live classes with real students — the capstone of your training and your first step as a certified teacher.

Questions
Frequently asked questions
Do I need to be an advanced practitioner to enroll?
There is no minimum level requirement, but you should have an established 26&2 practice and feel comfortable in the hot room. If you’re unsure whether you’re ready, come to the June 13th info session and speak with Richard directly.
Is this program Yoga Alliance certified?
Sweat Central has submitted an application to Yoga Alliance for RYT 200 recognition. Approval is currently pending. Graduates who complete all 200 hours will be eligible to pursue Yoga Alliance registration once approval is granted.
What if I miss a Saturday session?
Life happens. Please notify Richard in advance if you need to miss a session. Absences may affect program completion, and all missed hours must be made up.
Do I have to attend all the summer dialogue coaching sessions?
You must complete a minimum of 10 hours across the summer Saturday sessions. Participants who demonstrate strong dialogue memorization may attend fewer sessions at Richard’s discretion.
Is my deposit refundable?
Yes — the $500 deposit is fully refundable within 30 days of payment. After 30 days it becomes non-refundable. If you withdraw after the program begins, any tuition paid beyond the deposit will be issued as a credit toward a future Sweat Central program.
Will completing this program guarantee me a teaching position at Sweat Central?
Completing the program does not guarantee employment. However, Richard has trained many of Sweat Central’s current teachers through this process, and graduates who excel are naturally well-positioned.
